Earlier this week, I was reminiscing with Ma Dukes, via email. Back and forth we went, sharing about a time in both of our lives, where, in a moment everything changed. It’s been a hot minute since my last story, so, check this out…

Gather round, as I run it down, and lay out the tragic tale of a boy, his bike, and his Tour de France broken dreams.

TRUTH? Despite the benefits of having a routine, my natural tendency is to avoid habits at all costs. Naturally, this has led to my own creative downfall.

In preparation for the 2010 Boston Marathon, I have become a running man. At 245-250lbs, this isn’t easy, but, each green mile brings me closer to that ultimate truth — nothing is impossible.

Even with the potential for greatness, the lethal mix of perfectionism and pride can destroy any chance of a successful hustle — before it even begins.

Laying down a new DYKC?&#153 episode presents the perfect opportunity to reflect on the experience and share a story or two from my recent vacation in Austin, TX for the interactive portion of SxSW 2008.

At Northern Illinois University, six lives were tragically taken by a lone gunman who opened fire in a lecture hall. Since then, many have reached out to the families, students, and faculty of the university.

Lovespirals singer, songwriter, (and friend), Anji Bee wrote me last week about a special collaboration project she was putting together for one of her listeners, Nik, who is a student at NIU.

Along with 16 contributors, I was able to be a part of Anji’s project, forwarding a brief introduction and an appropriate song that I felt reflected the love we all have in our hearts for everyone impacted by the shootings.

The 90-minute NIU Support Collabocast can be downloaded directly from Anji’s site. I am proud to be a part of this collaboration, and encourage everyone to take some time and listen — and see what love really sounds like.
